Richard Branson has apologised for a "terrible 24 hours" after some Virgin Blue customers spent a second night stranded following the weekend's check-in chaos.
At 4am (AEST) today, the airline said there were still long waiting times at some airports, although no flights were listed as being cancelled today.
Virgin boss Mr Branson apologised on Channel 7.
"It's been a terrible 24 hours with the computer system going down," he said in Jakarta.
A computer system crash on Sunday forced Virgin Blue staff nationwide to process check-ins by hand and saw the cancellation of flights.
The chaos spilled into yesterday, with more flight cancellations and delays.
Some travellers were still unable to board flights by last night.
