Media and insider reports state Leonardo DiCaprio is dating at least two Sydney based models. This contradicts earlier reports that Leo "wasn't interested in Australian women". Maybe Leo's strategy was to portray himself as "hard to get" (if not impossible). Whatever the case, Leo hasn't lost his touch with the ladies. We heard a little something that the Aussie ladies liked a little touch by Leo too, but enough about that. You're old enough to figure it out.
If that's not enough the handsome Leo has been spoilt by The Star (Echo Entertainment management) and been given an entire floor at The Star (formally Star City Casino) to live in during his four-month stay. It's safe to say Leo's scored at least 1 king size bed (the mind boggles doesn't it). Echo Entertainment obviously heard that he enjoys a punt (usually high stakes poker), so why not have Mr DiCaprio as your official (or unofficial) casino celebrity face of the month.
Part of the back story to the deal between the movie star and The Star is that Leo got out of his ex Vaucluse residence because of privacy issues (read unwelcome paparazzi). Our friends in the biz have revealed that Echo Entertainment top brass Larry Mullin was so keen to get DiCaprio under their roof that a whole floor was transformed into a luxury super-suite.
"Mountains were moved," said our friend at The Star, who reckons the famous actor has a private entrance to his Astral Tower pad to evade the paparazzi.
"The entire thing was refurbished and rebuilt from scratch. It cost a fortune but the directive was 'spare no expense'."
Quizzed about the plush digs for 'Our Leo' at Star, Tabcorp: "No comment."
DiCaprio does say hi on occasion with casino workers and others who cross his path, so ladies, you may have a chance yet, and don't forget he has an entire floor for himself. Don't ask us though if there is a cue, but we suspect he's in demand.
"He was spotted in Black By Ezard and kept his cap on and head down and didn't engage with anyone. And a few nights later Hugh Jackman was in there and couldn't have been nicer," said the leaker.
"He was chatting to staff and taking pictures and having a great time. It was interesting to see the difference."
His ex-girlfriend Blake Lively has moved on, as has Bar Refaeli, with the model photographed in an embrace with Pierre Sarkozy, 25, the son of French Prez Nicolas Sarkozy, at the Paris nightclub Rasputin.
Oh, you want more on his dealings with ladies, so here goes to satisfy your desires...
For starters, Leo is dating at least two Australian models. I guess that's one way to keep them keen, or on their toes... or something.
The 36-year-old actor was revealed last week to have started romancing Alyce Crawford ('Australia's Next Top Model') after splitzville with 'Gossip Girl' actress Blake Lively - who he had been in a relationship with for a pretty impressive five months. Not too bad a run Blake, considering he's one of the world's most eligible bachelors.
As well as seeing (use your imagination) the 'Top Model' contestant, it has now been said Leonardo is also charming 20-year-old catwalk beauty Kendal Schuler...who recently separated from Australian 'Celebrity Apprentice' contestant Didier Cohen. Over 15 years age difference Leo. Guess you might be generous in your sharing of your experience with the lucky lady / ies.
A mate told media: "Leo has told her she can visit any time she likes as long as she keeps it low key. She has taken him up on that opportunity already a couple of times.
"But she isn't silly - she knows this isn't serious and she is just enjoying the time with him."
The Hollywood idol, currently loving Sydney shooting Baz Luhrmann's interpretation of 'The Great Gatsby', is understood to have first met Kendal in LA - US of A, and met her again recently when they ran into each other at popular Sydney nightclub Beach Haus.
The contact went on: "They have been in contact since he got here and she has seen him three or four times. He has told her to be very discreet."
Leonardo has also been dating Alyce, 21, for a couple of weeks and has been seeing her during on weekdays after shooting on his new project has wrapped.
A leak whispered" "He texts her when he wants to see her and they hook up a few times a week. They've mostly been meeting up during the week. He does other things on weekends.
"She's been going to his hotel to visit but he is too smart to be seen with her in public."
News just in... 'Our Leo' has been signed to play the role of J. Edgar Hoover in upcoming biopic
'J. Edgar'.
Leo gets to portray what many say was the most powerful man in the world...the FBI boss.
You can just hear girls around Australia, if not the world, screaming in delight "Let us feel your power Leonardo".
In all seriousness, Leo is a class act, and a real good looker. We hope you enjoy your work and play time in Australia. You've sure got the idea... work hard, play harder.

Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment Continues To Make Friends In U.S Market; Talks Well Developed...
In a recent interview with eGaming Review, Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment Co-CEO, Jim Ryan, advised re his firm's goal to enter the lucrative US market: “We have made the decision to target strategic partners. At federal level, we are finalising agreements with a couple of parties positioned nicely to operate in that market. In California, we are well advanced with a particular party. The same in New Jersey, consistent with where we are at a federal level.”
California’s legislator announced it will not be pursuing the issue until the start of next year, quite possibly after federal legislation is enacted.
New Jersey State Senator Raymond Lesniak introduced new draft legislation earlier month. His previous proposal made it all the way to Governor Chris Christie’s desk before Christie announced he would not be signing off in the final minutes of a deadline. The Governor cited specifics in the bill that Lesniak believes the latest incarnation addresses.

Isabel Lucas, Media Mates, Asos Fashion Cocktail Party, by Eva Rinaldi - 11th October 2011
If you're looking to try to make a splash into the online fashion world, you might as well play the celebrity - model card, and throw a party.
That's exactly what ASOS, Isabel Lucas and Gracie Otto did tonight at Eveleigh's CarriageWorks.
The night may have been just a touch short of star power, but not on drinks, and no, media didn't drink or party either... just for the record.
The ASOS tagline is 'Discover Fashion Online', but we highly suspect the target audience already has. Obviously, ASOS will want as much of the online purchasing action as possible.
Blurb from the ASOS marketing team says of their online wares firm "ASOS is a global online fashion and beauty retailer and offers over 50,000 branded and own label product lines across womenswear, menswear, footwear, accessories, jewellery and beauty with approximately 1,500 new product lines being introduced each week.
Aimed at fashion forward 16-34 year olds globally, ASOS attracts over 13 million unique visitors a month and as at 30 June 2011 had 5.8 million registered users and 3.5 million active customers from 160 countries (defined as having shopped in the last 12 months)."
Apparently for some of the celebrities present one of the night's highlights was "friendly media".
A well known celebrity was overheard chatting to a photographer "You guys are so friendly tonight. It must be the friendly media night without those couple of other pap scoundrels. You look fab, but I must have a word to the powers at be at ASOS and get you a very special deal on some of the fashion items being promoted tonight".
So, there you go. Another fashion press night in 'Sin City' Sydney. It's going to be interesting to see how their next round of online sales go, and if it bears anything to tonight's turn up, it should be decent.

Melbourne Cup Movie Sydney Premiere, by Eva Rinaldi - 11th October 2011
Profiles
Movies Hollywood Melbourne Melbourne Cup Horse Racing
The film is based on jockey Damien Oliver winning the Melbourne Cup in 2002. It was the ride that made him (and the horse of the day) Media Puzzle, famous around the globe. All of this and more happened just one week after the passing away of his brother Jason.
Curry plays Oliver in what what the most chaotic, yet also exciting, part of the jockey's life.
The Cup follows Oliver's decision to ride in the 2002 Melbourne Cup. It was just days after his brother Jason died in a track fall. Oliver knew he was making history at the time, but was unaware it was up there with 'Phar Lap' lore.
Oliver said it was a bizarre experience to watch a traumatic piece of his life unfold in film.
"It's kind of weird ... it couldn't be any more emotional than actually living through it, but every time I do see vision of it, it really brings it back home to me," he said.
The two-time Melbourne Cup champ said he and Curry developed a friendship as the result of the movie.
"He came around to our home to visit us, he came to the races with us, we took him to the barrier trials and we became good friends," Oliver said.
Something tells us that we will get to hear a lot more about the flick from Sydney based media identity (and fresh actor) Daniel MacPherson, in the coming weeks.
The Cup is of course for horse racing fans, but also those who enjoy a good Aussie yarn will also get a kick (hopefully not down there) from it. Back yourself a winner and see this film. 3.5 stars out of 5.
Director: Simon Wincer

The Star Casino Hosts Leonardo DiCaprio; Casino VIP Super Whale With Models, by Greg Tingle
Profiles
World Casino Directory Global Gaming Directory Australian Casinos The Star Leonardo DiCaprio Echo Entertainment Gaming Sydney Australia
Media and insider reports state Leo is dating Sydney model Alyce Crawford, Murdoch's The Daily Tele... that Leonardo DiCaprio has been gifted a whole floor at The Star (formally Star City Casino) to live in during his four-month stay.
He's been bunkered down there since passing on his former Vaucluse digs because of privacy issues (unwelcome paps), casino spies have revealed that Echo Entertainment top brass Larry Mullin was so keen to get DiCaprio under their roof that a whole floor was transformed into a luxury super-suite.
"Mountains were moved," said our friend at The Star, who reckons the famous actor has a private entrance to his Astral Tower pad to evade the paparazzi.
"The entire thing was refurbished and rebuilt from scratch. It cost a fortune but the directive was 'spare no expense'."
Asked about the plush situation for 'Our Leo' at Star, Tabcorp: "No comment."
DiCaprio does apparently say G'day on occasion with casino workers and others who cross his path.
"He was spotted in Black By Ezard and kept his cap on and head down and didn't engage with anyone. And a few nights later Hugh "Wolverine" Jackman was in there and couldn't have been nicer," said the deep throat.

Melbourne Cup Movie Premiere In Melbourne - 9th October 2011
Profiles
Movies Hollywood Melbourne Melbourne Cup Horse Racing
The film is based on jockey Damien Oliver winning the Melbourne Cup in 2002 on Media Puzzle, one week after the death of his brother Jason.
Curry jumps into Oliver's saddle for the most emotional period in the champion jockey's life in The Cup.
The Cup follows Oliver's decision to ride (and win), the 2002 Melbourne Cup just days after his brother Jason died in a track fall.
Speaking at the film's world premiere in Melbourne, Australia, Curry said he was a bundle of nerves sitting next to the racing legend during the first private screening.
"I was watching half me and half him, and for an actor for the first time you watch your film, it's very rare that you're not watching yourself the whole time," he said.
"We all shed a tear, it is a pretty emotional story. His feedback, his review is the only one that matters and it was really positive.
"It's about respecting the memory of Jason Oliver ... (Oliver) loved it and said Jason would've loved it."
Camberwell's Rivoli Cinema saw over 1000 people attend.
"He does a great job."
Oliver is not a big fan of his horse riding however.
"As a a jockey he makes a good actor," Oliver joked.
Curry concedes the horse riding had been a major challenge.
"Whenever I had to go on the set and ride a horse, it was a horrible day," he said.
In any event, if you like horse racing or even have a spot for quality Australian films, The Cup is for you.

Marvel Entertainment News: Four Post-Avengers Movies In The Works, by Greg Tingle - 10th October 2011
Profiles
Thor X-Men Wolverine Spider-Man Iron-Man Marvel Entertainment Marvel Comics Marvel Studios Marvel Slots Paramount Pictures Hollywood Movies Media Man
Captain America The Avengers Spider-Man Fantastic Four The Hulk Comics Movies

Who doesn't like a good superhero movie (or game) from our friends at Marvel Entertainment? That's what we thought.
You have to hand it to Marvel Entertainment and their movie production partners - they have been on a roll for the past few years.
Thor was awesome, so was Iron-Man 1 and Iron-Man 2, Captain America: The First Avenger - fantastic, and upcoming The Avengers may prove to be Marvel's best flick ever.
The Avengers, coming in May we understand, has signed Robert Downey Jr and its directed by Joss Whedon, so that's an awesome start.
Marvel president of production Kevin Feige recently went on record with Entertainment Weekly that Adventures of Tintin co-writer Edgar Wright "developed an excellent draft recently" for the movie. Nathan Fillion is tipped to play Henry Pym/Ant-Man.
Iron Man 3, opening in the US May 2013, re-teams Downey with Shane Black (Lethal Weapon). The writer-director, who launched Downey’s comeback in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, has a gift for creating funny as stuff.
Thor 2 is also in the works, although without Shakespearean-actor-turned-action-director Kenneth Branagh at the helm. It's understood that Patty Jenkins, who helped propel Charlize Theron to an Oscar with Monster, will direct The Nine Worlds sequel.
Media Man readers, what's you're thoughts on the upcoming Marvel Entertainment movies? What Marvel Entertainment games have you played, or would like to play? Should Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment, Virgin Games, or another gaming brand get the next batch of Marvel Entertainment slot games? What other lines of Marvel merchandise would you like to see released?
The coming year sure looks to be as great for Marvel fans as the previous. As Marvel living legend Stan Lee would say, Excelsior!

Pokie reform may 'kill' Gillard - Abbott - 10th October 2011
Profiles
Clubs Hotels Gaming Politics Internet Australia
The proposed poker machine reforms could be the issue that kills Prime Minister Julia Gillard's leadership, says Opposition Leader Tony Abbott.
The Labor caucus is not behind the reforms that will force gamblers to pre-set the amount of money they're prepared to lose on the pokies, Mr Abbott told Triple M radio on Monday.
"There's only one person in a position of influence who really wants it and that's Julia Gillard because she needs it to stay in government," he said.
"But I don't think the Labor caucus like it. I think if she tries to ram it through, if she's still the prime minister, this could be (the issue) which kills her."
Labor plans to adopt mandatory pre-commitment systems for high-intensity poker machines by 2014 as part of an agreement with Tasmanian independent MP Andrew Wilkie.
Mr Abbott says the shadow cabinet will meet in the coming days and announce a formal position on poker machine reforms "shortly".
"But I don't like it, it's not Liberal party policy," he said.
"This is taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut, it will be very, very expensive, hundreds of millions of dollars at least to introduce and it's not going to work.
"If you're a problem gambler, you can set your pre-commitment at such a level but you can still gamble enormously.
"And if there aren't pokies, there's the internet."

Mel B Of Spice Girls Fame Signs On With Jenny Craig, by Eva Rinaldi - 10th October 2011
Profiles
Celebrities Music Sydney
Mel B aka Melanie Brown has just been signed up as the new face of Jenny Craig (Australia and New Zealand).
Today at 10.30am Mel B, the top brass at Jenny Craig, and over a dozen news media enjoyed a healthy and delicious breakfast (and a media gig) at the Centennial Parklands function centre.
In the extremly unlikely event that you didn't know, Mel B is an English pop singer-songwriter, actress, author and television presenter. She is best known around the world as Scary Spice, one of the members of the girl group Spice Girls.
It's well known that brands around the world are often interested in signing up suitable celebrities to promote their wares, and on the surface it looks to be a great match with Jenny Craig being a leader in the weight loss industry for over 30 years, and Mel B recently off pregnancy, enjoying motherhood and looking to loose weight.
The international star told our table "I just love the breakfast. Jenny Craig is just right for me being a busy mum".
Mel B said on her eating "I was eating literally eating morning, noon and night, and its didn't matter what time. I was just eating. O was a jpise. I love my humps and bumps, but when a newspaper described my shape as the 'bootylicious, curvylicious, post-baby body of Melanie', I knew I had to do something. I had to get the eating under control".
Jenny Craig boss Amy Smith released in a media statement: "Mel told us she doesn't like dieting at all. She loves eating healthy foods and she is thrilled with the health snack options and the amount of fruit and vegetables she gets to eat. Jenny Craig's team of nutritionists and doctors have created a program especially for women like Mel who have recently given birth, that takes into consideration the nutrient levels needed for breastfeeding women", says Ms Smith.
Mel B said: "Life gets a bit crazy when you've got four daughters but it's important for us mums to live healthy and to be in good shape. Mums really need to take time for themselves and get to a place where they are happy with their body again. We should not put it off because we deserve more than that. I healthy happy mum equals a healthy happy family."
After breakfast Mel did some on site TV interviews, believed to be for Channel Seven, followed by a relaxed photo shoot in the lush green parklands. Apparently word must have spread around Sydney press circles, as after just minutes after going outside for the shoot a number of uninvited paparazzi showed up and started snapping away. Mel and her media team probably expected it, so its a good thing that the word is well and truly out about her new campaign with Jenny Craig.
Mel B looks great, so just imagine how hot she will look a few months into the Jenny Craig program. She acknowledge that media, the other former Spice Girls and everyone else will be watching her progress closely, and judging by today it appears UK pop queen is on set to achieve her diet goals. Will you achieve your dieting goals as summer sneaks up on you? Needless to say, you now know who to call, which we strongly suspect for the ideal in the first place.
Thanks for the tasty J.C breakfast guys. Highly recommended.

MGM Resorts Online Game to Attract New Customers - 5th October 2011
Profiles
MGM Mirage MGM Grand Casino World Casino Directory Global Gaming Directory Games Casino Slots Casinos United States Las Vegas
MGM Resorts International is moving into social gaming in an effort to attract more gamblers to its casinos, said MGM Chief Executive Jim Murren at casino industry conference last Wednesday.
The firm fully expects to soon announce a new social media game, he said, that would be along the lines of Zynga Inc.'s popular online game FarmVille. It would allow players to pretend to be casino moguls, he said.
The game-playing industry and gambling industries, he said, "are on a collision course."
Murren was speaking at the keynote address Wednesday at a conference entitled the Global Gaming Expo.
Murren didn't provide more details about the plans. Among hospitality companies, Marriott International Inc. has created an online game that allows players to manage a virtual hotel restaurant. Marriott's game is designed to be an employee recruiting tool rather than for acquiring customers.
Murren indicated MGM's game would be for trying to grab new customers.
"The demographics of (online) gamers are really right in the strike zone of the gaming industry," Murren said, pointing to the connection between non-gambling gamers and gamblers.
MGM is also among several large casino companies pushing hard for Internet gambling to become legal in the U.S.
MGM generates most of its revenue from casinos on the Las Vegas Strip and also owns around half of a casino in the robust gambling enclave of Macau. The company's stock price has lost nearly half its value since July on concerns of the U.S. economy and, more recently, concerns about a slowdown in growth in China. The company is still carrying a massive amount of debt.
Murren has consistently been among the most upbeat among gambling operators regarding the future of Las Vegas, even in depths of the recession of a couple years ago. He said he sees a wide gulf between what he thinks the company's stock price is and actual financial results and outlook.
"I turned my Bloomberg off about three weeks ago," Murren quipped.
After a deep downturn, both MGM and Las Vegas as a whole have shown signs of sustained but slow improvement in gambling revenue this year. Still, some observers are concerned by continued bad economic signs.
"We have exceeded our forecast and that of the street the last two quarters and had a nice third quarter as well," he said. "The market is valuing us about where we were three years ago in the teeth of recession and it just doesn't connect with me because we don't see anything inside our business that would suggest that that is accurate."
The company is optimistic about growth in Macau, he said, and has developed designs and plans for a new casino there. MGM and other casinos are awaiting government approval for their new projects.
His comments about Macau echoed those of Michael Leven, president of competitor Las Vegas Sands, who on Saturday said at a conference in Las Vegas that the company doesn't see negative signals there despite investor concerns.
MGM is also working on developing around 20 non-casino projects throughout China, Murren said.

Poker News Media: Exciting News for Online Poker Site, PKR as USA Legalisation of Gambling Sites Edges Closer - 6th October 2011
Profiles
PKR PKR Poker PKR Casino PKR Slots Games Casino Slots World Casino Directory United States Australia
The popular UK 3D poker site, PKR could soon go transatlantic and launch in the US after the American Gaming Association's (AGA) contributed to the push for online poker regulation in the country.
Frank J. Fahrenkopf Jr., president and CEO of the AGA, commented: 'There are no longer any good reasons to put USA citizens at risk by continuing to outlaw online poker in the U.S.' The statement comes after the USA Justice Department tried to shut down illegal gambling sites but the number of Americans playing online poker unprotected continues to grow.
PKR has established itself as one of the most playable and secure online poker websites in the UK over the last five years. The campaign in the US for lawful online poker now has the backing of certain state reps from Massachusetts and the prospect of legalisation could open the gates for PKR to expand into a massive market.
The AGA had once condemned online gambling altogether and only changed their opinion due to reports of a threat of unregulated sites currently endangering American players. The prospect of US legalisation of online poker could be potentially huge for PKR as their fully regulated and licensed site already has the foundations to become a massive hit among gamers in the States.
Massachusetts state rep, Dan Winslow also added to the argument for legalisation by arguing the flailing US economy could benefit from the introduction of online poker because of the jobs it will create in game design and regulatory software upkeep - a notion America's 14 million unemployed will welcome.
Back in the UK, it's business as usual for PKR for the meantime but they are very excited by the suggestion of expanding their business across the pond. A spokesperson for the poker games site commented:
'It is still early days yet but it would be a massively exciting prospect to take PKR to the States. The whole regulation of online poker sites debate is unlikely to be resolved overnight however, but at PKR we will be watching closely as we are always keen to develop playing opportunities to improve the gaming experience for everyone'.
It is rumoured the AGA campaign may prompt online poker legislation on a state level first before the whole nation accepts it. However, the campaign certainly looks to have some weight behind it and as far as PKR is concerned, it is a matter of watch this space.

Extreme Cabaret She-Devil Shocks Hilton Zeta Bar, by Eva Rinaldi - 7th October 2011
Profiles
Hilton Hotel Property Hotels Events Celebrities Clubs and Bars Brands Sydney Australia
Sydney’s Zeta Bar at the famous Hilton Hotel continued to delight with the extreme cabaret, now a mainstay in Sydney.
If a drink and a modest dash of tease are your thing you have most assuredly come to the right place.
My Human Statue Bodyart was tickled to death to once again deliver a smoking hot cabaret presentation, this time with a strong 'She-Devil' look and feel.
Tonight it was model Anastasiya Bakss, back by mega demand, made up in a 'She-Devil' - ish burlesque like number, with a red bodypaint on some of her extremities, and boy did it epitomise tease and all of that good stuff.
You wouldn't have picked it, but tonight my 'She-Devil' was part bodypainted and made up by creative arts students, Antonio X and his friend, my 14 year old son, Joseph. Just imagine their teacher's faces when they explain that they painted and decorated a 'She-Devil' at Sydney Hilton for work experience. Human 'She-Devil' turned the Zeta red hot, as you might expect.
Antonio said "My teacher won't believe it. I had an absolute ball tonight. I think I might be dreaming about Extreme Cabaret, I had such a good time".
Joseph said "I grew up with creative arts and bodyart work, thanks to mum, and tonight even the model complimented me on the application of my bodypaint strokes. I had a great time and it will be good for my CV also. It was a top team effort. I really like She-Devil's now".
The extreme cabaret performances have pumped Hilton's Zeta Bar big time, and for this reason Hilton's around Australia, indeed around the world, are preparing to add 'Extreme Cabaret' to their weekly line ups. Only yesterday Hilton Surfers' Paradise got infiltrated by 'Extreme Cabaret'.
Zeta Bar biz brainchild Grant Collins says of the nights "a late-1800s circus freak show crossed with 1920s-'30s sophistication".
Some of the most popular drinks at the moment include Absinthe (look for the sexy green bottle) and all things liquid nitrogen.
Want to be tantalised in an appropriate cool and sexy fashion? Grab the chance to do 'Sin City' Sydney like it should be done. Come again to Sydney Hilton next Friday night and check out 'extreme cabaret'. 'She-Devil' has done her dash, but we heard something about a neon yellow cabaret performer about to light up a spark in the joint. Join us and see what all the excitement is about boys and girls. As Alice Cooper famously sang, 'School's Out'.

Nickelodeon Australian Kids' Choice Awards: Winners And Chaos, by Eva Rinaldi - 7th October 2011

Entertainment News News
What a day and what a night. This was Australia's night of nights for kids and teenagers.
Thousands of fans, mainly teenage girls, swamped outside the Sydney Entertainment Centre, some from as early as 5am, waiting for their favorite entertainment industry stars.
By around 2pm, the line ups behind barracades were 30 people deep, and much of the press pack turned animal. Some teenage girls had home-made signs listing their mobile phone numbers, which I thought was not appropriate, and potential dangerous for the young ladies who advertised them. I don't know if I was fortunate or not to be taking photographs alongside the fans on this big outing. The million dollar question at big red carpet events like this is "Who is worse: The media, the fans, the kids or parents?"
Finally, at 6pm, the indoor part of the Nick awards kicked off and the audience went banana.
Ok, you want event results we hear...
Bindi and Bob Irwin have scored top bragging rights at the Australian Nickelodeon Kids' Choice awards, taking home the Hall of Slime Award for 2011 (the slime is green in case you wondered, and CM Punk won't forget it in a hurry).
Bindi and Bob beat Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Guy Sebastian and LA - USA planted Rove McManus, were splurted with green slime as popular Daniel MacPherson announced them as the first ever winners of the award.
"It is such an honour just to be nominated. It's a wonderful award," Bindi told the media.
"We're carrying on in our dad's footsteps. He originally got the Burp Award here at Nickelodeon," she said.
Hosted by iCarly mega stars Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Kress, the evening showcased bowls of maggots, an orange carpet, big and small envelopes and 5 tonnes of slime at the Sydney Entertainment Centre to mark the 16th annual Australian Kids' Choice Awards.
Australia's own teen idol Cody Simpson kicked booty, snatching up all three of his nominated categories - Super Fresh Award, Awesome Aussie and Fave Aussie Musos.
"I might not live in Australia at the moment, but Australia always lives in me," he told the crowd as he accepted his third award for the night, Awesome Aussie. The pop star performed a medley of some of his numbers 'Just For You' and 'On My Mind' for the thousands of screaming fans (80% girls), entering the grand stage with his guitar before ripping it up with dancers, and he even picked a one in a million young lady fan from the sold out crowd to sing to.
A record breaking 1.6 million kids' votes were counted to determine the winners.
Ten's Masterchef judge Matt Preston, who also took out the award for Awesome Oldie, dipped his arm into a big tank of green slime to rip out the word Julia, announcing Julia Gillard as the Slime Minister.
Prime Minister Julia Gillard (look-a-like) accepted the award. The real one wasn't there. The very same one who also didn't watch the ABC tele sexy tribute to her since she "had better things to do".
"Tonight, I'm proud to go green because you voted me Slime Minister," Julia Gillard's look-a-like announced to the audience.
"I'd like to ban budgie smugglers", she added before dancing with Australia's Got Talent winners, Justice Crew and being covered in slime along with "Mr Masterchef" Matt Preston.
Kyle Sandilands beat WWE superstar CM Punk ('The Best In The World'... in case you didn't hear) to win Baddest Baddie, accepting the award electronically from Los Angeles, US of A).
A bush tucker bag of pre-recorded video messages were heard from international superstar Justin Bieber who snatched the Hottest Guy Hottie Award, LMFAO who won Fave Song for Party Rock Anthem, Katy Perry who nicked home Fave International Artist and Victoria Justice who grabbed Hottest Girl Hottie.
Jennette McCurdy proved that she was a fab choice to co-host the night, besting Camp Oranges Luke and Wyatt, Hamish and Andy and Josh Thomas to take out the LOL Award.
Cody Simpson returned to the grand stage to wrap up the night, performing his hit number All Day before being covered in green slime from head to toe.
Insiders tip it was one of the better Nick Australia Kid's Choice Awards from a paid audience perspective, but also one of the most chaotic in history from a red carpet planted fan perspective.
What a crazy day. We hope no one got hurt - big ego's or otherwise. Ok, get nicked.
Replays of the event can be found on Foxtel's Nickelodeon channel this Saturday (Noon) and Sunday at 10.30pm.
